Excel Scientific, Inc. (“Excel”) is a manufacturer of microplate sealing films and foils, specializing in medical-grade adhesive-based consumables to life science research, university, and testing laboratories as well as biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies and diagnostic providers. The products are used to protect testing samples from evaporation, cross-contamination, spillage, and other damaging events during the testing and storage process. Excel’s sealing films and foils are proprietary constructions and have been individually tailored to optimize performance in a variety of complex applications. Excel was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Victorville, California. Vance Street invested in Excel in December 2020 and acquired Innovize in November 2022.
