Richard Roeder is a Senior Advisor to Vance Street. From 2007 through 2020, he served as a Managing Partner at Vance Street, and as a board member of Vance Street’s portfolio companies. Prior to the formation of Vance Street in 2007, Mr. Roeder co-founded and served as a Managing Director of Aurora Capital Group from 1991 until 2007. From 1981 to 1991, he was a partner of Paul Hastings LLP, where, from 1987 to 1991, he served as Chairman of the firm’s corporate law department. Mr. Roeder holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley and an A.B. from Amherst College.
Mr. Roeder is a Board member of the Berkeley Center for Law and Business, a member of the Board of Directors of Cambridge in America and serves on the Board of Directors of the Petersen Automotive Museum. He also is a past President of the Board of Trustees of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, past Chairman of the Trustee Board of the UCLA/Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation and an Emeritus Trustee of the Music Center of Los Angeles County.
