Michael Janish

Mike Janish is a Managing Partner at Vance Street and is primarily responsible for evaluating investments and working with portfolio company management teams to help them reach strategic objectives. He is currently a member of the Investment Committee and is generally responsible for leading all post-investment operational activities at the Firm.  Prior to joining Vance Street in 2016, Mr. Janish was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Avalon Laboratories, a private equity-owned medical device manufacturer of specialty medical tubing.  Prior to Avalon Laboratories, Mr. Janish was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Precitech, a private equity-owned manufacturer of nanotechnology machine tools.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Janish held various senior management and engineering roles at Ametek, Century Specialties, Textron and General Motors Corporation. While employed at Textron he earned his LEAN Six Sigma black belt. Mr. Janish holds an Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Despite his three adult children working their way through college, Mike continues to be very active in helping them “chase their dreams” both professionally and through extracurricular activities.  For enjoyment Mike and his wife enjoy the performance automotive community, boating and travel.
