Jason Burmer

Jason leads the firm’s business development function and is responsible for originating new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2026, he was a Principal at Edgewater Capital Partners, where he led the firm’s business development function. Before Edgewater, he was an Associate Director at H.I.G. Capital, where he originated investment opportunities in the Industrials and Business Services sectors. Earlier in his career, he served as counsel and business development lead at a start-up financing platform, and worked at a large commercial litigation firm and in the Major Crimes Division of the State Attorney’s Office in Tampa, FL. He holds a BS from Florida State University and a JD from the Stetson University College of Law.
