Farmingdale – July 9, 2018 – The Board of Directors of A&E Medical (A&E), and Vance Street Capital LLC are pleased to announce that Thomas J. Sullivan has been elected to the Board of Directors and appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer of A&E Medical effective July 9, 2018. Previously, Mr. Sullivan was the President & CEO of Symmetry Surgical, a former public company spun out of Symmetry Medical that was taken private in July 2016. From 2011 until 2015, he had been President & CEO of Symmetry Medical, an industry leading contract manufacturer.
Prior to his time with Symmetry, Mr. Sullivan enjoyed a twenty-year career at Johnson & Johnson where he held numerous executive and operational leadership positions. From June 2007 through January 2011, Mr. Sullivan was the President of the Supply Chain & Business Process Division of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc.; from 2005 to 2007, President of DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc.; and from 2002 to 2005, President of J&J Medical Products Canada where he had accountability for all J&J’s medical device franchises.
Mr. Sullivan graduated as a Palmer Scholar from The Wharton School in 1991 where he earned an MBA in Strategic Management and Information Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Sullivan is a National Association of Corporate Directors Governance Fellow and serves on the Board of Trustees of Isles Inc., a community development and environmental organization based in Trenton, New Jersey.
