Richard Crowell is one of the two Managing Partners who oversee all of the Firm’s functions, a member of the Investment Committee, and a Board member of several Vance Street portfolio companies. Prior to founding Vance Street in August, 2007, Richard co-founded and served as President of Aurora Capital Group from 1991 through August, 2007. From 1987 to 1991, Richard was a Managing Partner of Acadia Partners, a New York based investment fund. From 1983 to 1987, he served as a Managing Director of Corporate Finance for Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Richard currently serves on the Board of: Motion Dynamics, A&E Medical Corporation, International Aerospace Coatings and Micronics Filtration Holdings. He previously served on the Boards of Secure Technology Company, Klune Industries, Micross Components and Process Fab.
Richard serves on the Board of Visitors for the UCLA Anderson School of Management, the Board of RBC Corp (NASDAQ: ROLL) and the Board of Trustees for the UCLA Health System in Los Angeles. Richard holds an M.B.A. from UCLA’s Anderson School and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
